About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) has issued a Special Notice of Intent to Award a Single Source firm fixed price contract to LVW Electronics for a security system installation project at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The contract specifically focuses on implementing complex security infrastructure for Building 4562, with an emphasis on integrating advanced security protocols for sensitive areas. LVW Electronics was selected based on their specialized knowledge and proven experience with Department of Defense security systems, including an ongoing contract to upgrade base security infrastructure. The project involves installing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System (ACS) in multiple locations, including sensitive compartmented information areas. The notice highlights the critical nature of the project, which is already two years behind schedule and has significant implications for mission-critical operations.
The Special Notice provides specific instructions for potential contractors, inviting interested parties to submit written information demonstrating their capability to meet the project requirements. The deadline for submissions is March 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time, with contact information provided for John Ambruse via email. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 12 Commercial procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for Other than Full and Open Competition. While the notice is not a request for competitive quotes, the government will review any submissions to potentially reconsider the single-source approach. The contract aims to ensure seamless integration of security systems, eliminate compatibility risks, and maintain consistent security protocols across installations. Contractors should note that the final determination to proceed with a single source remains solely at the government's discretion, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of operational security and mission readiness.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SINGLE SOURCE:
(THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE)
The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron, Cannon AFB, New Mexico intends to award a single source firm fixed price contract to Low Voltage Wiring, doing business as LVW Electronics, Cage Code:62873, Address: 1540 Quail Lake Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. LVW Electronics possesses specialized knowledge and proven experience in implementing complex security systems within theDepartment of Defense (DoD) framework.
