This is notice of the FAA’s intent to pursue a single source acquisition strategy to Accipiter Radar Corporation for Preventative and Corrective Maintenance for Gull Island and Deringer Tower surveillance systems in support of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Accipiter Radar Corporation’s proprietary system links various radars from manufacturers such as Furuno, Kelvin Hughes, Terma, Sperry and JRC into Accipiter’s patented Radar Intelligence Network (RIN). As such, the FAA believes Accipiter Radar Corporation is the only company that can fully respond to any and all maintenance needs for these systems.
