About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to solicit a lease for approximately 6,370 square feet of office space in Tucson, Arizona, with expressions of interest due October 9, 2026. The Government is evaluating alternative space as a current lease expires and will pursue relocation only if economically advantageous after accounting for move costs, tenant improvement replication, telecommunications infrastructure, and agency downtime.

The space must support 24/7 operations and access, with roof access for antennae and other equipment. NOAA requires a fully serviced lease meeting Government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic resilience, and sustainability; the space must not be located in the 0.2-percent-annual chance floodplain. Twelve parking spaces are required.

The anticipated lease term is 10 years with zero firm years. Estimated occupancy is February 12, 2027, following a market survey based on responses received. Daniel Hazley, Leasing Specialist, is the point of contact for expressions of interest (daniel.hazley@noaa.gov). Christian Townsend is the Lease Contracting Officer.

Prospective lessors should note Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act telecommunications prohibitions as implemented in the FAR. Entities not currently registered in SAM.gov should initiate registration immediately.

The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under a lease in Tucson, AZ, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
