About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Region 3 is seeking to lease approximately 6,210 square feet of contiguous office space in State College, Pennsylvania. The lease is intended to support the agency's local operations and requires a fully serviced facility that meets government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic requirements, and sustainability. Potential properties must be located within a specified delineated area bounded by Routes 26, 45, 144, 550, and 322, and must provide seventeen reserved surface parking spaces to accommodate approximately 40 employees and visitors. Expressions of interest are due by May 2, 2025, with JoAnn Stewart serving as the Lease Contracting Officer, and interested parties can submit their responses via email to Joann.stewart@gsa.gov. The government will evaluate potential spaces based on meeting their comprehensive requirements, including economic advantages and potential relocation costs.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this lease opportunity. The proposed lease term is five years, with an estimated occupancy date of November 1, 2029. The space must not be located in a 1-percent-annual chance floodplain and must comply with telecommunications prohibitions outlined in Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. The government is currently occupying office space in State College and is exploring alternative locations that could provide more advantageous terms. Potential lessors should be aware that the government will comprehensively assess factors such as physical move costs, tenant improvement expenses, telecommunication infrastructure replication, and potential agency downtime when evaluating alternative spaces. The solicitation falls under the NAICS category 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and the PSC category X1AA for Lease/Rental of Office Buildings.
