About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Base New Orleans has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract to Budrovich Contracting Co. for the St. Louis Pier Sewage and CGC Gasconade Sewage Offload. This sole source award is due to the urgent and critical nature of the requirement, which does not allow for the normal competitive solicitation process.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties that the Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract to Budrovich Contracting Co. for the pump truck services required to offload sewage from the St. Louis Pier and the CGC GASCONADE cutter. The inability to pump the cutter's sewage would place the unit in a Not Mission Capable (NMC) status, removing an essential asset from service. Therefore, this requirement is needed as soon as possible. In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2), all responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The deadline for responses is April 29, 2024, and the contract is set aside for small businesses.
