About this opportunity

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source, single-award IDIQ contract to QIAGEN LLC for molecular biology reagents, kits, consumables, and related products, with a response deadline of July 29, 2026. This acquisition is restricted to QIAGEN under FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source) because the Division of Applied Regulatory Science has standardized, validated, and implemented laboratory protocols, standard operating procedures, workflows, and analytical frameworks using QIAGEN technologies; continued use of QIAGEN products is necessary to maintain consistency with validated methods, preserve data integrity and comparability of historical and future research data, and avoid the time, cost, and scientific risk associated with redevelopment and validation using alternative products.

The contract will support the Division of Applied Regulatory Science, Office of Computational Science, and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Procurements cover products supporting genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other omics analyses, including isolation, purification, amplification, sequencing, characterization, and analysis of DNA, RNA, proteins, and related biomolecules. Individual firm-fixed-price task orders will be issued based on program requirements and funding availability over a base year plus four option years. NAICS code 325413 applies.

Responsible sources believing they can meet requirements may submit written capability statements demonstrating their ability to provide products satisfying government needs without adversely affecting FDA's validated laboratory methods, ongoing research, data integrity, or mission objectives. Responses must be emailed to Elena Tatarov, Contract Specialist, at elena.tatarov@fda.hhs.gov.
