About this opportunity
The United States Secret Service published a Special Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Purchase Order to upgrade existing VirTra simulation systems at the James J. Rowley Training Center. The Secret Service is responsible for maintaining a VirTra V-300 virtual training platform to provide immersive scenario-based firearms and use of force training, but requires supplemented scenarios that more accurately depict threats observed in agency operations.
The Special Notice aims to enhance existing VirTra systems through relocation of two V-300 units, upgrade of one V-100 unit to 4K resolution, and associated new computers, projectors, racks, instructor stations, tracking systems, operating system updates, and annual service agreements. Interested parties must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill scenario supplementation requirements by May 5, 2021 if they believe they can meet the Secret Service's needs, though no known alternative sources exist. Installation of upgrades is required within 60 days of award at the James J. Rowley Training Center location. Pricing will be on a firm fixed-price basis under the North American Industry Classification code 339999.
