About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command published a Special Notice regarding its intent to award a sole source contract to DeVal Lifecycle Support LLC, a small business concern, for Munitions Transporters part number MHU-191 in support of ship outfitting requirements for U.S. Navy ships. The contracting officer will use FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition to award the contract to DeVal Lifecycle Support LLC, the exclusive provider and remanufacturing facility for these transporters since 1981.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the government's intent to award a sole source contract to DeVal Lifecycle Support LLC. The proposed contract action has a deadline of September 12, 2024 for interested parties to identify their interest and submit product information via email. The sole source justification is based on DeVal Lifecycle Support LLC's exclusive licensing agreement for these transporters, and the requirement will not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. Interested parties may submit information in response to this notice, but this is not a request for quotation, and no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.
