About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract to Flight Safety International for initial, recurrent, and advanced training services for pilots, mechanics, and cabin crew operating or maintaining Gulfstream GVIII-G700 aircraft, with capability statements due by June 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
The USCG acquired two Gulfstream GVIII-G700 aircraft and determined that Flight Safety International is the only source capable of delivering the model-specific Level D simulator training and FAA-approved curricula required for pilots, technicians, and cabin attendants. The sole source authority rests on 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), implemented by RFO Subpart 6.103-1.
Though this notice constitutes the only formal announcement of the intent and no competitive solicitation will be issued, the USCG invites all responsible sources to submit capability statements demonstrating technical qualifications, experience, and ability to provide the required training. Any capability statements received will be evaluated for possible cancellation of the sole source action in favor of competitive procurement. Interested parties must submit capability statements electronically to jessica.a.griffin@uscg.mil. The acquisition falls under NAICS 611512 (Professional Organizations) with a small business size standard of $34 million.
