About this opportunity
The National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Northern Rockies Major Acquisition Buying Office is seeking to procure an Explosion Proof Decanter Actuator Kit - MMac conversion to Joyce Actuator assembly (AASI part #2964005) for the Glaciers Water Waste Treatment Plant in Glacier National Park, Montana. This is a sole source procurement being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b) using simplified acquisition procedures within the Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing (NAICS 333310) category. The contract will be classified with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees, and the government is currently evaluating potential sources for this specialized equipment. Interested firms are invited to contact Contract Specialist Barbara Glen at barbara_glen@nps.gov or 303-345-1131 to provide information about their capabilities to support the purchase. The notice is posted on January 15, 2025, with a response deadline of January 29, 2025, and the government retains discretion to determine whether to compete the order based on responses received.
The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation and will be executed as a commercial acquisition. No specific award value or budget range is detailed in the solicitation notice. The place of performance is the Water Waste Treatment Plant located in Glacier National Park, Montana. The acquisition involves a single Explosion Proof Decanter Actuator Kit, specifically the AASI part #2964005, which requires conversion to a Joyce Actuator assembly. While the notice does not specify a precise service timeline, it indicates an immediate procurement need for specialized mechanical equipment. The government's approach suggests a targeted, direct procurement method with potential for limited competitive review based on vendor responses to the sole source notice.
