Notice text

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with integenX, Inc., 5720 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 300, Pleasanton, CA, 94588-2739, for the purpose of procuring a service agreement for its existing RapidHIT 2000 instrument.

In support of the FBI's Rapid DNA Initiative, the FBI Laboratory's Biometrics Analysis Section is currently evaluating the RapidHIT 2000, a Rapid DNA instrument manufactured by integenX, Inc. A maintenance agreement is required in order to move forward with validation studies to aid the implementation of this state-of-the-art technology. This agreement will ensure that updates, preventative maintenance needs, instrument failures, instrument upgrades, and other necessary items are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner, which, in turn, will ensure that instrument testing can progress unhindered.

The maintenance requirements are listed below.

• Service agreement for RapidHIT 2000 Instrument
o Coverage to include all parts and labor
o 1 Preventative Maintenance service visit per year

Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that integenX, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the RapidHIT 2000 instrument; therefore, they are the only company capable of providing the necessary service and support for this instrument.
