The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with IntegenX, Inc., 5720 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 300, Pleasanton, CA, 94588-2739, for the purpose of procuring a service agreement for its existing RapidHIT ID and 2000 instruments.
In support of the FBI's Rapid DNA Initiative, the FBI Laboratory is currently evaluating the RapidHIT 2000 and ID, Rapid DNA instruments manufactured by IntegenX, Inc. A maintenance service agreement is required in order to move forward with validation studies to aid the implementation of this state-of-the-art technology. This agreement will ensure that updates, preventative maintenance needs, instrument failures, instrument upgrades, and other necessary items are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner, which, in turn, will ensure that instrument testing can progress unhindered.
The maintenance requirements are listed below.
• Service agreement for RapidHIT 2000 and ID Instruments
o Coverage to include all parts and labor
o 1 Preventative Maintenance service visit per year
Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that IntegenX, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the RapidHIT 2000 and ID instruments; therefore, they are the only company capable of providing the necessary service and support for this instrument.
