The contract specifically pertains to a Tecan Fluent 780 Base Unit (Serial Number: 211005124) and is being pursued under the Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance NAICS category. The government is seeking a comprehensive maintenance service plan for this specialized laboratory equipment, utilizing the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901(a)(1), which allows for a sole-source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. Interested businesses are invited to submit responses through the NIAID electronic Simplified Acquisition Submission System (eSASS), with mandatory registration required for submission. The proposed 12-month contract includes detailed service provisions such as one annual preventative maintenance, on-site repairs, hardware and software updates, instrument utilization software service, and hotline support during specified hours. Contractors must be prepared to provide services performed exclusively by Tecan certified Field Service Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, or Application Scientists, with a guaranteed 48-hour response time. Billing will be conducted quarterly in arrears, with the performance period commencing from the award date. The government emphasizes that this notice does not obligate contract award and reserves the right to use submitted non-proprietary information. Potential respondents should ensure their submissions are comprehensive and sufficiently detailed to demonstrate qualifications for performing the specified work.
