About this opportunity

NASA Glenn Research Center has issued a Notice of Availability seeking potential tenants to develop approximately 9.2 acres of land at Lewis Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The property includes a 45,510 square foot Administration Building that NASA plans to demolish during fiscal year 2026, along with an accompanying parking lot and adjacent non-excess land. The notice specifically excludes the Main Sanitary Lift Station from the available property. NASA is currently experiencing a government funding lapse, which may impact response times to inquiries. Interested parties can contact NASA via email at HQ-RealEstate@mail.nasa.gov with reference number GRC-NOA-2025-2 for additional information or to arrange site visits.

The primary purpose of this opportunity is to identify tenants interested in developing the land for research, technology, aerospace, or academic purposes that align with the GRC Master Plan. NASA's objectives include increasing commercial access to space, diversifying the user base, and promoting relationships that build aerospace-related capabilities. Potential contractors must submit their responses within 30 days of the notice posting date of September 30, 2025, making the deadline October 31, 2025. Respondents must provide comprehensive information including organizational details, projected development schedules, evidence of financial capability, and explanations of how their proposed use would achieve NASA's stated objectives. NASA will not cover any development costs, as these will be the sole responsibility of the selected tenant. The agency reserves the right to determine the best use of the property based on all responses received and may engage in discussions with any respondent whose submission meets their criteria.
