About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville intends to issue a sole source award to Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions for repair and refurbishment of a shipboard helicopter mantis handler-extra low profile (SHH/ELP, A/S32A-47). The acquisition will utilize simplified acquisition procedures under NAICS code 488190 with a size standard of $40 million. This Special Notice was published by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command on August 12, 2025, with responses due by August 14, 2025. The notice serves as an informational announcement and does not constitute a request for proposals, quote, or invitation to bid. The procurement falls under the miscellaneous ship and marine equipment category and relates to other support activities for air transportation.
The primary purpose of this notice is to provide potential contractors an opportunity to demonstrate their capability to provide comparable items or services before the government proceeds with the sole source acquisition. All eligible sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence that articulates their ability to meet the requirement, as simple requests for documentation will not be considered affirmative responses. Contractors have a brief two-day window to submit their responses by August 14, 2025. Any source eligible to provide the shipboard helicopter equipment repair and refurbishment services may respond to challenge the sole source approach. If no qualifying responses are received demonstrating that comparable items are available from other sources, the government will proceed with the sole source award to Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions, determining this approach is more advantageous than competitive procurement.
