About this opportunity
The Department of State is seeking contractors for a comprehensive new well drilling and pump installation project at the U.S. Embassy in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This firm fixed-price construction contract encompasses engineering studies and design, drilling a new well to a minimum depth of 70 meters with a 30-centimeter diameter using unplasticized polyvinyl chloride casing, and installing a well pump capable of 3-6 cubic meters per hour pumping capacity. The project also requires construction of a protective pump house, integration with existing water distribution infrastructure, implementation of automatic operation with bypass capabilities, and comprehensive water quality testing to ensure potable water standards. The government may award the contract based on initial offers without discussion, and prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database.
