Notice text

The Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) are preparing to launch the new FAC-C program. The new program, including new training standards, will be effective for the federal acquisition workforce October 1, 2014.

While the new FAC-C program is similar to DOD's current contracting certification program, it is not exactly the same. Because the new program is significantly different from the current FAC-C program, OFPP has developed a transition plan for the federal contracting workforce.

FAI is sponsoring an information session on the new FAC-C for the acquisition workforce training providers. The session is scheduled for February 28, 2014 from 11:00 PM to 2:00 PM at GSA's Headquarters building, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The new training courses, course pre-requisites, transition period options, certification standards and other related topics will be covered. Current or future FAI procurement actions will not be discussed.

Registration

The session is open at no charge. However, because of building security requirements, you must pre-register via email. No telephone reservations will be accepted.

The following information should be sent to FAI@fmpconsulting.com
Company (or Organization) Name
First and last name of each attendee (limit 2 per company or organization),
Company (or Organization) Email Address

All registrations must be received via email no later than 3:00 pm on February 24, 2014.
