The Consumer Product Safety Commission seeks installation, testing, and documentation of structured cabling and wiring infrastructure at its facility in the GAO Building, 441 G Street NW, Washington, DC, with quotes due August 31 at 12:00 PM EST and questions due August 28 at 12:00 PM EST. The work consists of two phases performed on-site between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Phase 1 requires installation of Category 6 cabling to 37 designated Wireless Access Point locations, including terminations, testing, labeling, and mounting of customer-provided WAP units, coordinated with Network Engineering. Phase 2 encompasses installation of single Cat6 cables to 160 locations with termination of new Cat6 and re-termination of existing Cat5 cables plus two new port faceplates; installation of two Cat6 cables to 60 locations serving GAO closets with two new port faceplates; and installation of six 48-port Cat6 patch panels, two 24-port Cat6 patch panels, and eight horizontal wire management systems. The period of performance runs from award through September 21, 2026. This is a firm fixed-price contract. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision; assume all travel costs; and comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements, federal IT standards, CPSC policies, and industry codes including NIST standards. This requirements for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is for installation, testing, and documentation of structured cabling and wiring infrastructure to support network, voice, video, and peripheral services at the designated facility at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Building at 441 G St NW, Washington, DC 20226. The objective is to provide a reliable, standards compliant cabling system that meets current and forecasted operational needs.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to install and certify new structured cabling (e.g., CAT6/CAT6A, fiber optic cabling) in support of IT operations, workspace build outs, conference rooms, and specialized systems. Work shall comply with federal IT standards, agency policies, and industry codes.
