Place of performance is Navajo Dam, New Mexico, 1281 Highway 511, Navajo Dam, NM 87419. Work occurs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from October 1, 2026 through November 30, 2026. The contractor must access a fenced and locked site requiring a Reclamation escort.
The scope includes replacing approximately 1,000 feet of 3-inch diameter galvanized steel pipe downstream of the water line connection with two valves and a strainer connecting to a 6-inch diameter penstock gate bypass line, and repairing a leaking transition connection between galvanized steel and polyvinyl chloride piping in a buried vault. All replacement components must be galvanized steel with flanged or threaded connections rated for minimum 170 psi pressure complying with specified ASTM standards.
