About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) is conducting market research to identify Midmark Corporation Preferred Partners and Trained Delivery teams capable of providing maintenance, installation, and repair services for Midmark exam tables and chairs across VISN 9 facilities and outpatient clinics. The requirement seeks contractors with documented experience in project management, pre-delivery site surveys, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic user training of Midmark medical equipment to manufacturer standards. The government will evaluate responses based on organizational capability to provide services consistent with the scope described, secure necessary financial and technical resources, implement successful performance plans with schedule compliance and cost containment, and operate under a firm-fixed-price contract structure. Interested parties must submit capability statements not exceeding 10 pages electronically by August 11, 2025, including organizational details, business size classification, relevant NAICS codes, and detailed service capabilities. The procurement falls under NAICS code 811210 (Medical and Surgical Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services) with a small business size standard of $34 million.
This opportunity does not currently designate any set-aside classification but indicates the government may establish set-asides for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB), veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB), or other small business categories based on market research responses. If no qualified responses are received, the government plans to proceed with a sole-source contract directly to Midmark Corporation under FAR 6.302 authority. The contract will cover a five-year ordering period with services provided during normal business hours, with potential consideration for weekend, holiday, and after-hours work on an as-needed basis. No specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the notice, and equipment purchase is explicitly excluded from this service-only requirement. The government emphasizes that this sources sought notice is purely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, with no financial responsibility assumed for any costs incurred by respondents. All qualified sources are encouraged to respond regardless of business size, as the final procurement strategy will be determined based on the market research results.
