About this opportunity

The U.S. Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants seeks maintenance services for Metrohm ion chromatograph instruments, with quotations due August 31, 2026. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 541380 (Testing Laboratories) with a small business standard of $19 million.

Place of performance is the National Water Quality Lab in Denver, Colorado. The contract covers comprehensive maintenance for five Metrohm 940 Professional IC Vario ion chromatographs, five 858 Professional Sample Processors, and three 941 Eluent Production Modules. Services include preventative maintenance twice per year, emergency repairs within three working days, non-emergency repairs within four working days, telephone troubleshooting support Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, all labor and parts, travel expenses, software updates, and on-site service by factory-trained technicians. The contractor must provide loaner equipment if off-site repairs exceed 72 hours and submit a contingency plan within seven days of award for repairs lasting beyond five working days. All work must be performed on-site between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

The base contract period runs from September 7, 2026, through September 6, 2027, with two optional one-year extension periods. Award type is Firm Fixed Price. Evaluation weighs experience of proposed personnel, past performance references, technical capabilities, and ability to meet timelines significantly more than pricing. All offerors must be registered in SAM.gov prior to submission and must allow at least 60 calendar days for Government acceptance after the offer due date.
