About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting a market research survey to identify potential sources for the repair, overhaul, and/or remanufacture of multiple aircraft engine fuel components, specifically 14 National Stock Number (NSN) components including spray ring assemblies, compression sensors, temperature sensors, fuel flow regulators, and injector assemblies. These components are classified as Critical Safety Items (CSI) requiring a Source Approval Request (SAR) prior to contract award, with potential contractors needing to demonstrate expertise in aerospace equipment maintenance, quality assurance processes, and compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 10012, MIL-STD-130, and NAS410. Interested companies must submit a detailed Contractor Capability Survey addressing technical capabilities, past performance, quality assurance processes, repair experience, and operational aspects. The response deadline is 1:30 pm CDT on November 13, 2025, and this market survey is explicitly for planning purposes only and may not result in a subsequent solicitation or contract.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations, though the government has expressed interest in responses from Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a) businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the documentation, and no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. The requirement involves 14 distinct NSN components related to F100 engine fuel systems, with various part numbers and technical specifications detailed across multiple Repair Data Lists (RDLs) ranging from revision 3 to revision 9. Approved sources for CSI items receive three-year approval periods, while Critical Application Items (CAI) receive seven-year approval periods, indicating a long-term commitment for qualified contractors. The government emphasizes that participation in this market survey does not guarantee future solicitation participation or contract awards, and all survey participation expenses are at the respondent's own cost.
