About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate awarded a contract to Caci, Inc. - Federal for the development of a high-power multi-spectral laser prototype system for $4,928,139 over the period of performance. This prototype system is intended to meet or exceed key performance metrics while allowing precise control of laser parameters using integrated fiber technology that could be deployed in the field. The contract was awarded by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory.
Notice text
The Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate (AFRL/RYD) has identified the development of a high-power multi-spectral laser as a key strategic thrust area in its mission to enable increased performance and affordability for Air Force sensing systems. This effort will build and demonstrate a prototype system that that is planned to meet or exceed all the key metrics while allowing for precise control of various laser parameters. Furthermore, the design utilizes well-developed fiber technology which allows for a high level of integration and could readily be made field deployable..
Awarded contract FA8650-21-C-1160 to Caci, Inc. - Federal for 4928139.00 on 2021-07-13.
