About this opportunity

The 366 Contracting Squadron at Mountain Home Air Force Base is conducting market research for door replacement services across eight facilities at the installation in Elmore County, Idaho. The procurement will involve providing and installing aluminum/glass doors for existing storefront systems and hollow metal doors for personnel doors. Key contract requirements include submitting comprehensive door, frame, glass, and hardware specifications; providing field measurements; and removing and delivering all existing doors and materials to the designated recycle center in compliance with Executive Order 13101. The government is particularly focused on identifying small business contractors, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a) Program participants, HUBZone firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. Interested firms must submit responses by April 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time to the identified contracting officers, with a formal Request for Quote expected to follow on SAM.gov and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment platform. All responding firms must be registered in SAM.gov to be eligible for award consideration.

This Pre-Solicitation Notice involves no set-aside designation; however, the forthcoming RFQ award is anticipated to be restricted to small businesses. The contract encompasses work at eight buildings (198, 211, 512, 1126, 1361, 1613, 1784, and 2316) with varying door replacement needs ranging from single door installations to multiple door assemblies and storefront systems. The period of performance is 180 days from contract award, with liquidated damages not applicable to this task order. Specific requirements include installation of bronze surface mount closers on all doors, keyed locks accepting BEST cores with panic hardware on exterior doors, and specialized hardware such as Simplex cipher locks in certain buildings. Buildings 198 and 1361 require Environmental Access Licenses due to their airfield location, and construction cannot commence until all doors are on site and ready for installation.
