About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a door replacement project at multiple facilities within the Department of Defense. The project number is 18016548, titled "Replace Doors Multi Facilities," with a project manager identified as Mr. Charles Shoemaker. The period of performance is 180 days, and liquidated damages do not apply to this task order. The work involves eight facilities (Buildings 198, 211, 512, 1126, 1361, 1613, 1784, and 2316), with required submittals including door, frame, glass, and hardware specifications. The contractor must provide and verify all field measurements, and no government-furnished materials are provided.

The SOW specifies comprehensive door replacement requirements across all facilities, including purchasing and installing aluminum/glass doors (Kawneer Trifab VersaGlaze or Oldcastle 3000 or equal) for storefronts and hollow metal doors for personnel doors. General requirements include minimum 10-inch bottom rails, bronze surface mount closers on all doors, thresholds and weather stripping on exterior doors, and keyed locks accepting BEST cores with panic hardware on exterior doors. All interior doors must have push/pull hardware without locks. Specific work is detailed for each building, ranging from single door replacements with various lite configurations to multiple door assemblies, double doors, and storefront systems. Notable items include removal of stainless steel swinging doors in Building 2316, installation of Simplex cipher locks in Building 1784, and specialized hardware requirements such as Best 9K series entrance and storeroom handles. Buildings 198 and 1361 require Environmental Access Licenses (EALs) as they are located on the airfield. The contractor must remove and deliver all existing doors, hardware, and materials to Building 1800 Recycle Center in compliance with Executive Order 13101. Construction cannot begin until all doors are on site and ready for installation.
