THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. There is no solicitation available at this time. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. Marine Corps Logistics Command Contracts Dept. (MSCD) is attempting to identify potential sources capable of providing MTU Engine Kits Parts described below. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this Sources Sought Synopsis, nor will it reimburse the respondent for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government’s acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any industry input as a result of this announcement. No materials or information received from this notice shall be returned to the sender. Sources responding to this notice should email their contact information and any descriptive information regarding their ability to provide the described services to the contact named above. In the eventuality that a solicitation is issued, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) https://wawf.eb.mil to be considered a Responsible Offeror and be eligible for award.

Note: Sources responding to must be able to provide supplies in accordance to the specifications below:

Requirements to provide MTU Engine Kit Parts.

Parts required will be used to overhaul the 20V4000M93 Engine that is used in the 154’ Fast Response Cutter FRC Fleet which is owned and operated by the United States Coast Guard.

Tooling support fixtures, jigs will be required to perform overhaul and maintenance procedures in a proper and safe manner per the technical manuals.

Requests for MTU spare parts if needed, will be made by Marine Depot Maintenance Command, Production Plant Barstow (MDMC PPB) independent of the original request. All estimates for spare parts will need to be provided by the contractor at time of request.
