About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal (ACC Redstone) has published a Special Notice for MSC Tokens software maintenance services. This opportunity, posted on December 18, 2025, seeks to obtain maintenance renewal of the government-owned MSC Tokens software license package. MSC Tokens is an industry-standard finite element analysis solver that serves as a critical tool for the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) of the Aviation and Missile Center in support of Army Aviation airworthiness programs. The procurement is categorized under the Software Publishers NAICS code (513210) and falls within the IT and Telecom Business Application/Application Development Software as a Service PSC category (DA10). This is a non-set-aside opportunity being pursued through limited source justification procedures.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to secure software maintenance renewal, including support packages and multiple Patran-related products such as ACIS SAT Access, NX Access, CAE Solid Modeling, Laminate Modeler, and CATIA V4 Access, along with 871 seats of MasterKey Plus Base and one seat of MSC Nastran MD Implicit NL. The proposal submission deadline is December 22, 2025, providing contractors with a four-day window to respond. According to the justification documentation, Immix Technology, Inc. has been identified as the sole authorized government reseller for MSC Tokens, making this a limited source procurement supported by a Section 233 Waiver for Army Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories. Extensive market research confirmed that alternative software solutions such as Abaqus, Matlab, and Ansys cannot satisfy the Army's specific finite element analysis requirements for aircraft systems analysis. Contract pricing will utilize an annual escalation clause applied to the previous year's net price, with the contract period spanning from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
