About this opportunity
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Stewart, Georgia, is conducting market research to identify small-business laundry and dry-cleaning contractors to support the 3rd Infantry Division Reception Center, with responses due October 16, 2026. This procurement is a total small-business set-aside anticipated to be awarded as a Firm-Fixed-Price commercial services contract under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5.
The contractor shall provide weekly pickup of soiled Government-owned linens and bedding every Tuesday by 1300 hours EST and deliver clean, processed items every Thursday by 1530 hours EST (48–54-hour turnaround). Services include washing, drying, pressing, packaging, and transportation using contractor-supplied commercial vehicles and off-post processing facilities. Three contract line items cover approximately 1,050 pieces monthly: 150 wool blankets (launder, sanitize, dry, fold, package), 200 polyester blankets (machine wash, dry, fold, bundle), and 700 flat bed sheets (wash, sanitize, dry, press with commercial flatwork finish, fold, bundle). All items must meet 90–100% Acceptable Quality Level depending on the specific requirement and be processed free of soil, stains, bacteria, odor, and lint. The contractor is responsible for replacing or repairing any damage during processing and must submit a Quality Control Plan within 10 calendar days of award. Minor repairs (rips, tears, button replacement, zipper repair) are performed at contractor expense.
Service location is Building 216, 697 E. Bultman Ave, Fort Stewart, GA 31314. The anticipated period of performance runs October 30, 2026, through October 29, 2027, with potential option periods. This is an RFI/Sources Sought; responses do not result in contract award but inform acquisition strategy and solicitation drafting. Respondents must submit capability statements, non-binding Rough Order of Magnitude pricing, socio-economic status, past performance references, and feedback on dual pricing structure (per-piece unit price and extended monthly lump-sum price) in PDF format to Breionne.c.turner.mil@army.mil and michael.j.wever.mil@army.mil by 1500 hours EST October 16, 2026.
