About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking contractors for the repair and modification of direct current motors under NSN 7H-6105-014560169. The procurement involves specialized electrical motors that require ultra-precision manufacturing capabilities and dedicated test/inspection facilities to maintain system integrity and function. Contractors must possess specialized test equipment and inspection facilities, as standard competitive manufacturing processes cannot adequately verify the precision quality requirements without these specialized capabilities. The contract falls under PSC 6105 for Motors, Electrical, and requires delivery to two DLA Distribution locations in New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on October 15, 2025, with responses due by November 16, 2025.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business entities. The contract requires delivery of 41 units total, with distribution split between two Defense Logistics Agency locations on the East and West coasts. The technical data package version 008 governs the specifications, and the contract includes specific induction NIINs for tracking purposes. No incumbent contractors or current award values are specified in this pre-solicitation phase. The specialized nature of the work suggests this will be a higher-value contract given the ultra-precision requirements and limited supplier base capable of meeting the technical specifications.
