About this opportunity
Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair or modification of a motor assembly under a sole-source procurement action through September 9, 2026, with a 45-day response window from the notice publication date of May 7, 2026.
The requirement covers four units of NSN 7H-6105-016822842-E3 (TDP VER 001) with delivery FOB origin. The Government does not own or have contractual rights to the technical data or manufacturing specifications required to source this part from alternative vendors. The Government has determined it uneconomical to acquire data rights or reverse-engineer the part, establishing the basis for sole-source procurement authority under FAR 6.302-1.
Although the Government intends to negotiate with a single source, the notice invites all responsible sources to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 45 days of the May 7, 2026 publication date. The Government reserves discretion to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received; information submitted will be evaluated primarily for that determination. Alternatively, if the requirement is placed against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, the response period shortens to 30 days.
No set-aside applies. Place of performance and contract value are not specified in this notice.
