About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime anticipates soliciting an Indefinite Delivery Contract for alternating current motors (NSN 6105-01-105-6529) with responses due by September 11, 2026. No set-aside applies. The contract structure includes a one-to-three-year base period with two to four optional one-year renewal periods, with delivery orders issued on an as-needed basis against a guaranteed minimum order value.
Currently approved sources are New Phoenix Aerospace Inc (CAGE 3XMD9, Part Number 900-0008) and Rosemount Aerospace Inc (CAGE 59885, Part Number 2311M-93-1). The part carries AMC "1" / AMSC "C" designations, indicating it is suitable for competitive acquisition and requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge held by the qualified sources, along with data rights and manufacturing knowledge not economically available to the Government, support current sourcing. Alternate sources may qualify in accordance with design control activity procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity.
DLA is conducting a market survey to identify additional potential manufacturers. Respondents must provide company status (manufacturer or distributor, business size classification), commercial distribution networks, delivery capabilities (maximum and minimum quantities and lead times), interest in the IDC structure, willingness to accept base and option period terms, quantity discount availability, and the impact of guaranteed minimum percentages (1 to 10 percent of forecasted annual demand) on pricing. For commercial items, suppliers must submit published catalogs, pricing lists, sales histories, website information, complete drawings, and bill of materials to support cost estimate and price reasonableness evaluations. Certified cost or pricing data is not required for commercial items. Responses are due within seven business days to Contracting Officer Caitlin Ferry at caitlin.ferry@dla.mil or (614) 693-9882.
