Sample processing and reporting must finish within 90 days of receipt. The government furnishes samples preserved in Lowtox Antifreeze/Coolant. Collection runs biweekly from late February through mid-November, and in some years from January through December. Quantities range from 60 to 70 per year for the base year and each option year.
Per the attached summary, the award is a firm-fixed-price contract for a base year (January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027) plus four one-year option periods through December 31, 2031. The notice states no award value or ceiling, and it names no incumbent.
Evaluation factors are relevant past performance, including three years of taxonomic service references; technical approach and staffing qualifications; and price. The notice does not state factor weights.
