About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Drum is seeking to procure mold silicone rubber compound kits for manufacturing applications. The solicitation requires a total of 40 complete kits comprising two different silicone compounds: 10 kits of Mold Silicone 10 with Shore Hardness 10A and 30 kits of Mold Silicone 20 with Shore Hardness 20A. Both compounds are tin-cured silicone rubber featuring Libra catalyst for extended shelf life, 45-minute pot life, 24-hour cure time at room temperature, and compatibility with various casting materials including wax, gypsum, metals, and resins without requiring release agents. The products must be suitable for industrial and artistic applications including mold-making for prototypes, furniture, sculpture, and architectural elements. Response proposals are due by September 5, 2025, with an original posting date of August 29, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 326299 (All Other Rubber Product Manufacturing) and PSC code 9320 (Rubber Fabricated Materials). No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the solicitation notice. The contractor must deliver products within 30 days or less for most kits, with one specific requirement for staggered delivery where 5 kits ship within 30 days and the remaining 5 kits ship 30 days after the first shipment. Performance will take place at Fort Moore, Georgia 31905, and the government requires product replacement at no cost if the silicone compounds do not cure properly. The solicitation includes detailed technical specifications for both silicone types, including specific gravity, tensile strength, temperature ranges, and electrical properties.
