About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 20, seeks procurement, delivery, and installation of a modular meal tray assembly system for American Lake VAMC, with proposals due August 5, 2026. The procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 333310, using simplified acquisition procedures (FAR Part 12) with firm-fixed-price terms.
Place of performance is Tacoma, Washington. The system must facilitate seamless flow of meal trays from hot food service through cold food assembly, accommodate no more than three employees, and fit within a 200-inch by 150-inch workspace. Required equipment includes two mobile gravity shelf carts with divider bars and storage bins; two air curtain glass door pass-thru refrigerators (five trays per unit); two mobile tray and rack dispensers; two mobile slider tables with connectors; one six-well hot food server with menu holders; and a starter kit. All equipment must be stainless steel type 304, NSF-compliant, and FDA-approved. Temperature maintenance at 41°F or below is required. The system must integrate existing on-site Dinex Activator and Victory Food warmer equipment; existing conveyor trayline equipment will be disposed of by the contractor.
Deliverables include pre-site survey, pre-installation electrical work, delivery, setup, installation, and minimum 32 hours of training and on-site implementation services (including minimum 4 hours virtual training, minimum 8 hours pre-implementation on-site, and minimum 20 hours go-live on-site). Period of performance is 90 days after receipt of order. Name-brand-or-equal products are acceptable with supporting technical literature demonstrating compliance with salient characteristics. Responses must include completed SF 1449, price/cost schedule, product literature, company name, point of contact, email, phone, and UEI number from SAM.gov. Amendment 36C26026Q0700 0002, issued July 30, 2026, extended the deadline from July 22 to August 5, 2026, to allow additional time for offerors to respond to previously submitted questions.
