About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for a Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) training course. The RFI is specifically targeting vendors who can provide a comprehensive training program for the Rockwell Collins PRC-162 radio system. The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) through the Control and Reporting Center (CRC) Program Management Office is seeking a fully developed training solution that covers multiple technical aspects of MUOS. This special notice is part of the Air Force's effort to enhance training capabilities for complex communication systems. The RFI was posted on February 12, 2025, with responses due by March 24, 2025.
The primary objective of this RFI is to identify vendors capable of delivering an extensive MUOS training curriculum covering multiple technical domains, including MUOS Waveform basics, USAF provisioning processes, spectrum requests, and terminal operations. Contractors must submit white papers limited to 20 pages (15 pages total, with 10 pages of text and 5 pages for visual materials), detailing their proposed training approach and timeline. The RFI does not constitute a formal solicitation and does not commit the government to future contract award, meaning vendors will not be compensated for their submission. Eligible contractors should have expertise in professional, scientific, and technical services, specifically in communication systems training. Proposed training must comprehensively address 15 detailed sections ranging from basic MUOS system knowledge to advanced terminal provisioning and operational procedures, with a focus on the Rockwell Collins PRC-162 radio system.
