About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is soliciting proposals to lease a mobile aircraft fire trainer similar to an F-16, along with an instructor and operator. The trainer and support staff would provide live fire training scenarios over two one-week periods in June/July and September 2020 for approximately 46 firefighters at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical capability of the trainer to meet requirements and instructor qualifications, as well as price to cover all costs. The deadline for proposals was extended to June 12, 2020.
This is a total small business set-aside. Training would involve classroom and hands-on instruction to help firefighters comply with federal live fire training mandates. Evaluation criteria are technical capability and price. The North American Industry Classification System code is 561612 and the Product Service Code is U009. Place of performance is Buckley Air Force Base located at 80011 E. Jewell Ave. in Aurora, Colorado.
