About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is procuring end-of-life components and spares for the MK6 Ammunition Hoist Assembly through a non-competitive contract action under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA N00024-23-G-5320). The procurement will be awarded to McNally Industries, LLC, based in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which permits other than full-and-open competition when only one source possesses the requisite knowledge and ability to satisfy requirements within the required schedule. NAVSEA has determined that McNally is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's MK6 requirements within the compressed timeline. The notice was posted on March 4, 2026, with a deadline of March 19, 2026, for interested parties to identify their interest and capability to fulfill the requirement. While this is not a formal request for proposals, the Government will consider information received solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement, though such a determination rests entirely within Government discretion.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation for small businesses or other designated groups. McNally Industries, LLC is identified as the incumbent contractor and intended awardee under the existing BOA. The pre-solicitation notice does not specify an award value or budget range, nor does it disclose the quantity of components required or the specific timeline for delivery and service completion. Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities are directed to contact McNally Industries directly rather than responding to this notice. The compressed timeline from posting to the March 19, 2026 deadline suggests an urgent requirement for these end-of-life components to maintain operational readiness of naval systems utilizing the MK6 Ammunition Hoist.
