About this opportunity

This solicitation seeks proposals for the advanced research, development, procurement, and delivery of adult and pediatric midazolam autoinjectors approved by the FDA for treatment of status epilepticus seizures, including those caused by nerve agents, in populations aged two years and older. The Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response requires the autoinjectors to replace expired diazepam autoinjectors in the Strategic National Stockpile's CHEMPACK program. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and price, with the response deadline of July 30, 2021.

No set-aside designation was used. Offerors must propose pricing per autoinjector for delivery to CHEMPACK programs across the continental United States. The base period involves late-stage clinical development activities, with optional periods for additional procurement, development, and security requirements that may extend the period of performance up to ten years. Amendments clarify security plan requirements and evaluation process details.
