About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is soliciting proposals for the manufacture of microwave units under a sole source Foreign Military Sales (FMS) spares buy requirement. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334419 (Other Electronic Component Manufacturing) and PSC code 1285 (Fire Control Radar Equipment, Except Airborne), indicating these are specialized electronic components for defense radar systems. The contract requires ISO 9001 quality certification and includes specific manufacturing and quality requirements for the microwave units. The solicitation has been extended multiple times, with the current due date set for September 19, 2025, having previously been extended from May 30, 2025, and September 5, 2025. The primary contact for this procurement is Stephanie R. Perez at the Navy Supply Systems Command (STEPHANIE.R.PEREZ1@NAVY.MIL).
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a sole source requirement, meaning competition is limited to a specific contractor already identified by the government. The solicitation indicates this is for spares support, suggesting it involves replacement parts for existing radar systems rather than new equipment procurement. The contract includes priority rating provisions for national defense, emergency preparedness, and energy programs, emphasizing the critical nature of these components. Payment will be processed through the Wide Area Workflow system using combined invoice and receiving reports, with contract administration handled through the Mechanicsburg location. The procurement requires compliance with Buy American provisions and includes various standard federal acquisition regulation clauses for equal opportunity, annual representations and certifications, and contractor quality requirements.
