About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking to procure MH-65 aircraft spare parts through a competitive Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation targeting commercial aircraft components. Specifically, the agency requires 30 Phenolic Insulators and 10 Brake Discs manufactured by MEGGITT Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation, with traceability to original equipment manufacturers being a critical requirement. All parts must comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines and be newly manufactured with a Certificate of Conformance. Quotes are due by February 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, and must be submitted via email to Hartley.K.Askew@uscg.mil with the solicitation number 70Z03825QB0000043 in the subject line. Evaluation criteria will focus on part authenticity, safety compliance, and ability to provide clear documentation of component origins.

The solicitation is an unrestricted procurement with no specific small business set-aside, though the size standard is 1,250 employees under NAICS code 336413. The contract allows for potential quantity increases of up to 60 additional insulators and 20 additional brake discs within one year of award, potentially expanding the initial order from 30 to 90 units and 10 to 30 units respectively. Delivery is required by August 5, 2025, to the USCG Aviation Logistics Center located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, with F.O.B. Destination terms. Each part must be individually packaged with comprehensive documentation, and contractors must demonstrate robust quality control processes that address risk management, testing, inspection, and prevention of counterfeit parts. The total procurement represents a targeted acquisition of critical aircraft maintenance components essential for maintaining the operational readiness of MH-65 aircraft.
