Contractors must complete test and evaluation of components within 15 calendar days and complete repairs within 30 calendar days of receipt, with special attention to corrosion treatment given the helicopter's salt water operating environment. The place of performance will be at the contractor's facility or a USCG-approved location in Elizabeth City, NC. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price purchase order on a competitive basis. Wage determinations for Florida and New York indicate potential labor rates ranging from $17.75 to $44.73 per hour depending on job classification, with additional benefits including health and welfare payments. The solicitation anticipates awarding a purchase order for repair of the 10 transfer pumps, with a potential option for increased quantity under FAR 52.217-6, and includes provisions for handling Beyond Economical Repair (BER) items.
