About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, specifically the 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis AFB, is seeking to procure Meyer Sound self-powered, wide range coverage loudspeakers with rigging hardware for the Band of the Golden West. The Sources Sought notice outlines a requirement for specific audio equipment, including Leopard and 900-LFC speakers that must integrate with existing Meyer Sound systems, a Digico SD9 console, and Compass control software. The procurement aims to acquire a comprehensive audio system with scalable capabilities to support larger events and provide flexible configuration options. Interested businesses must be small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Woman Owned Small Businesses. Responses to this Sources Sought must be submitted by May 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time via email, with the NAICS Code 334310 for Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside, though it emphasizes small business participation. The comprehensive requirement includes 12 line items totaling 33 pieces of audio equipment, encompassing speakers, low-frequency loudspeakers, rigging hardware, caster frames, protective covers, power cables, and a GALAXY 408 processor network platform. The equipment must meet strict technical specifications, including precise dimensional characteristics, multi-channel amplification, intelligent power input capabilities, and integrated GuideALink connection systems. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical requirements suggest a potentially significant investment in audio infrastructure. The procurement is specifically tailored for the Band of the Golden West, with equipment designed to support overhead rigging, provide remote monitoring capabilities, and allow for flexible system configuration. The solicitation number for this opportunity is FA442725QZ036, and it is part of a pre-solicitation process that does not commit the government to a contract.
