About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Memory Unit, Video (NSN 7R-5836-015814849-H1) for repair and modification purposes. This procurement requires Government source approval prior to contract award because the item is flight critical and technical data adequacy has not been fully established for open competition. Only previously approved sources have been solicited for this requirement. Prospective contractors who are not current approved sources must submit comprehensive source approval information with their proposals, as detailed in the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochure. All offers that fail to provide the required source approval documentation or evidence of previous submission of such documentation will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award consideration. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on October 23, 2025, with a due date for proposals of December 7, 2025.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and involves a quantity requirement of 97 units with FOB Origin delivery terms. The notice does not specify an incumbent contractor or award value range. Contractors already engaged in source approval evaluation at NAVSUP WSS should submit a copy of their approval request cover letter along with their proposals to document their ongoing status. If source approval evaluation cannot be completed within the required timeline and approval requirements prevent timely acquisition of the items, the Government reserves the right to continue the award based on Fleet support needs, potentially prioritizing operational readiness over full source approval compliance.
