About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a Limited Source Justification for medical screening services at approximately 50 locations along the southwest border and other ports of entry. The $16,041,996.39 task order was awarded to Loyal Source Government Services, LLC under the Veterans Affairs Federal Supply Schedule for Professional & Allied Healthcare Staffing Services, with a contract duration of 31 days and two potential one-month extension options. The sole source justification is based on ongoing litigation and protests surrounding a previous competitive award that prevents CBP from immediately recompeting the contract. Loyal Source, as the incumbent contractor, is uniquely qualified due to their existing background-cleared medical personnel, extensive knowledge of CBP medical protocols, and ability to immediately staff remote locations. The contracted medical services include 24/7 medical support, health intake interviews, patient risk monitoring, public health support, and medical documentation for individuals in CBP custody at Medical Priority Facilities and Office of Field Operations ports of entry.
Notice text
CBP requires healthcare practitioners to work out of Medical Priority Facilities (MPFs), Office of Field Operations (OFO) Ports of Entry (POEs), and potentially other forward deployed locations within the United States, to address medical and public health concerns
for individuals in CBP custody. Along the southwest border, DHS/CBP has established enhanced medical provisions for individuals in custody at the southwest border crossings and OFO POEs. Contracted medical personnel deliver medical support at approximately 50 locations.
Awarded contract 36F79722D0185 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2023-11-30.
