Place of performance is Fort Benton, Montana (Chouteau County), at 701 7th Street, elevation approximately 2,651 feet. The new boiler must meet a minimum 500,000 BTU capacity at 97% efficiency or higher with stainless steel exhaust and corrosion-resistant combustion air venting. The contractor must integrate the boiler into the existing Johnson Controls Metasys building automation system, perform water sampling and treatment within the hydronic system to manufacturer specifications, conduct manufacturer performance testing with Government personnel present, and engage a certified third-party testing and balancing contractor (AABC, NEBB, or TABB certified) to balance the hot water system. Work is restricted to 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no Sunday or holiday work without written Government approval. The contractor must comply with NFPA 70 (2026 edition), IMC, IPC, IFGC (all 2024 editions), and ASHRAE 36, and must maintain a 24-hour/365-day warranty during the warranty period. Performance period is 45 calendar days after receipt of the construction notice to proceed, with overall completion by September 3, 2026. Prevailing wage rates established by Department of Labor Wage Determination MT20260058 apply. Award will be based on Prior Demonstrated Experience (significantly more important weighting) and Price. Quoters must be SAM-registered at submission and award, submit performance and payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit within 10 days of award, and use the Invoice Processing Platform for invoicing. Amendment 0002, effective June 30, confirms site visit measurements and clarifies stair dimensions in the mechanical room (27-inch width, 13.6-inch rise, 9.6-inch run).

MBIC Boiler Replacement
The Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Montana State Office is soliciting quotes for removing and replacing the existing Patterson Kelly MACH C-450 boiler. The removal and replacement of the existing flue using Stainless Steel. The exhaust and combustion air venting is to be sized per manufacture recommendations. Connect existing gas line and condensate drain to the new boiler. Supply environmental water treatment to condensate drain. Sample water within the hydronic system and adjust as required to meet the manufacture specification. Perform all manufacture performance testing after the installation of the boiler in the presence of Government personnel. Integrate the new boiler into the proprietary building automation system (Johnson Controls Metasys software), using its graphic controls interface to verify all control and report points; resolve any warnings or alarms in the HVAC system. Confirm or correct hot water pump programming for lead/lag operation and ensure METASYS network control points match those of the new boiler. Testing and balancing (TAB) of the hot water system must be performed by a certified third-party company. The project¿s location is within Chouteau County, Montana.
