About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy London has issued a solicitation for the supply of a range of mattresses and bed bases. The agency intends to award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to one or more responsible vendors for a period of five years or until a determined maximum amount has been spent, whichever occurs first. Only companies specializing in this field should apply. Interested vendors must provide their company information, product offerings, pricing, and any additional fees or applicable VAT by June 5, 2024. Standard U.S. Government payment terms of 30 days from receipt of a proper invoice apply. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting an offer.
This solicitation is not set-aside for any specific business type. The award of a BPA does not guarantee any quantity of business, and the Government may choose to award BPAs to more than one vendor and rotate business. The place of performance is London, UK. The total value of the BPAs is undisclosed, but the solicitation notes that the Embassy intends to award BPAs to one or more qualified vendors for a 5-year period.
Notice text
The U.S. Embassy London has a requirement for the supply of a range of Mattreses and Bed bases and intends
to award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to one or more responsible vendors.
Only companies specializing in this field should apply.
A BPA is similar to a credit account established with vendors under which numerous orders may be issued. It establishes no contractual obligation until an order is issued and a delivery is made. BPAs will be in effect for a period of five years upon award
or until the determined maximum amount has been spent, whichever occurs first. Please note that the award of a
BPA does not guarantee any quantity of business and that the Government may choose to award BPAs to more than
one vendor and rotate business.
U.S. Government Contractors receiving an award valued at $30,000 USD or greater must register in the System for
Award Management (SAM) Database www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. The
website compiles standard information such as company legal name, street address, contact information, and the
kinds of goods and servicesoffered. There is no cost involved, neither in obtaining the NCAGE code nor to register in
SAM. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
