About this opportunity

The Naval Air Warfare Center, an agency under the Department of the Navy, is soliciting quotes for the material and installation of a mineral insulated (MI) cable system with associated insulation, aluminum jacking, and PVC covers for steam piping applications. The project requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install a heated air system for a turboshaft engine inlet at the Propulsion Systems Evaluation Facility (PSEF). Key technical requirements specify that the MI cable must withstand steam temperatures up to 600°F, operate at 120 volts with current under 30 amps, and maintain automatic temperature control above 40°F in freezing conditions. Quotes will be evaluated based on the contractor's ability to meet technical specifications, provide comprehensive documentation of parts and engineering specifications, and deliver the completed installation by December 15, 2025. All interested parties must submit brand name quotes no later than 5:00 pm on November 18, 2025, via email to benjamin.r.flores3.civ@us.navy.mil, with the quote validity period set at 60 days.

This solicitation uses a firm fixed-price basis with full and open competition, and no small business set-aside has been designated.
