About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration, FAA Logistics Center, is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources for lead-based paint remediation services on a 70-foot lattice communications tower located in Coconino National Forest, Arizona, in support of the U.S. Forest Service, with responses due by July 8, 2026. This is a sources-sought effort for informational and planning purposes only; no proposals are being accepted at this time, and the Government will not reimburse response costs.

The tower is located at 6,559.17 feet elevation in Coconino County, Arizona. The FAA is using this market survey to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, including the potential for small business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, or SBA 8(a) set-asides.

Interested firms must submit capability statements addressing experience performing lead-based paint remediation on communications towers or similar structures, relevant contracts completed within the past five years (including customer, contract value, scope, and performance information), experience with federal, state, or local government agencies, years in business, and confirmation of ability to perform the work at the project location. A draft Statement of Work is attached, along with a structural analysis report evaluating the 70.17-foot self-support tower and site photographs.

The tower was analyzed under ANSI/TIA-222-H and ASCE-7-22 standards and achieved a 95.3% capacity rating under current loading conditions. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to the Contracting Specialist; telephone inquiries will not be accepted. NAICS code 237130 applies.
