About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for a Cable Assembly (NSN 5995-01-633-8094) supporting the AN/MSQ-135 Mobile Tower System. This sources-sought announcement aims to gather information from manufacturers capable of producing specialized cable assemblies used in air traffic control and airfield lighting systems. The government is seeking comprehensive documentation from potential suppliers, including questionnaires, drawings, test results, previous contract performance, and technical capabilities. Respondents must provide their company name, CAGE code, and technical point of contact information by the response deadline of April 30, 2025. The market research will help determine if responsible sources exist and inform the acquisition strategy, with responses to be submitted via email to the specified government contacts.

The procurement does not currently have a small business set-aside, though the government is evaluating potential set-aside opportunities. The original cable assembly was developed by General Dynamics, with no previous procurement history noted. The initial estimated production quantity is 4 cable assemblies, with the technical data package (TDP) at level 2 developmental information available for release to qualified respondents. This is strictly a market research initiative and not a commitment to contract award, with no reimbursement provided for response preparation. Potential suppliers must have an active Defense Logistics Agency Joint Certification Program status and be prepared to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) when accessing the technical documentation. The government will use the gathered information to assess market capabilities and determine the most appropriate acquisition approach for future procurement.
