About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is conducting a market survey to identify manufacturers or suppliers of a specific transit case (NSN 5895-01-623-9736) for the Combat Service Support Automated Information Systems Interface (CAISI) Wireless 2.0 system. The required case must be equivalent to a Pelican Storm Case iM2750 in Olive Drab Green, with a weight capacity of approximately 54 pounds, including two wheels, handles at each end, and a retractable tote handle. The government does not currently possess the technical data package for the parts and is seeking potential sources to complete a detailed contractor questionnaire. Interested vendors must submit their responses by May 30, 2025, via email to Kenneth M. Vereb and Jacqueline Palmer, with all communication strictly limited to email. The primary evaluation objectives include determining market availability, assessing potential competitive strategies, and exploring possible small business participation.
This market research effort is not a formal solicitation and does not guarantee a contract award or reimburse response preparation costs. No specific set-aside has been designated, though small business participation is being actively considered. The technical requirements include providing custom foam cutouts to house specific CAISI system components, as detailed in the attached extract from Technical Manual 11-5895-1897-23P. The government will use the gathered information to develop an appropriate acquisition strategy and determine if responsible sources exist for the procurement. While no specific award value or quantity is mentioned, the solicitation indicates the government's intent to procure a transit case that can accommodate a comprehensive set of communication and networking equipment for military applications. Responses must include the company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contact with email address and telephone number.
